Founded in 1828 and established on its present site in 1874
 this Cumbrian brewery uses water drawn from its own wells.
 Whilst not a co-operative many local people hold shares in the company.
 

Creamy, golden ale, hoppy throughout the taste and fruity, well balanced bitterness

Rich creamy mid-brown ale.  Bitterness develops in the finish.
